Evers-Druck was nominated as a finalist in the category "Environmentally Oriented Company of the Year" at the Print & Media Awards 2009. A jury of 21 nominated Evers-Druck as a finalist in the category "Environmentally Oriented Company of the Year". Five participants were nominated as finalists in each category during the qualifying round.

Evers-Druck's entry focused on its low CO₂ emissions through the consistent optimisation of energy over the last 25 years. Even in times when social awareness of the environment was still limited, the company performed numerous activities to optimise the resources used. On the basis of benchmarking with environmental declarations published by our competitors, the quantities of gas and electricity consumed at this time (in relation to the quantities of paper processed) are well below average.

Details of the ongoing optimisation process were documented for the years from 1985 to 2009. In retrospect, the large number of activities has brought about a tangible reduction in CO₂ emissions.
